August 10, 2021 A fire destroyed the New Hartford House building in New Hartford CT. On the Main Street side of the first floor, was a small tea room. For many years, it was called The Passiflora Tea Room. In the Summer of 2019, it changed owners, and became The Farm River Cafe. The Farm River Cafe closed, temporarily, in early March 2020, as part of the COVID-19 shutdown in Connecticut. It never reopened, and now lies in ruins. Between March 2009 and March 2020, I performed 145 times in this room, both at open mics, and multi-performer shows. This was a unique room, and only time will tell if it's vibe can be duplicated somewhere else.
